River Landing Project
I am THRILLED to announce the City of Miami Commission approved the zoning change and design plans for an exciting project that I will be developing called River Landing Shops and Residences. I’ll serve as the Design Consultant along with ADD Inc. Miami; Savino Miller Design Studio, whose homage to the river was inspired by a 1940’s photograph of the Miami River, Suffolk Construction as the pre-development construction consultant and Roger LeBlanc, its leasing agent that has leased retail space in the most prominent shopping centers in South Florida over his thirty year career.
River Landing will contain 537,000 SF of retail tenants and 444 residential rental units designed to serve the employees and students in the Health District. River Landing was inspired by the Miami River, its surroundings, and purpose, and the development will incorporate a landscaped, open-air riverwalk/lineal park that will encourage riverfront dining, neighborhood connectivity, and an area for pedestrians and bicyclists.
I love the location of this project, it’s in the heart of Miami. I can’t wait to see an excitement for the Miami River that we haven’t seen. I feel that the Miami River is an underutilized natural element that Miami hasn’t taken advantage of and designing a commercial property in this location has been a dream of mine, it’s truly a chance of a lifetime!
About River Landing – River Landing is a mixed-use real estate development located in the Health District of Miami, Florida, alongside the Miami River. The project will include shops, restaurants and rental residences. The project will start construction in early 2014, the retail portion is estimated to be completed Winter 2015, and the residential portion in 2016. River Landing is being developed by River Landing Development LLC, with ADD Inc Miami as the Architect and Design.
